Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology (SGGSIE&T), established in 1981 in Nanded, is a leading institution known for its excellence in technical education, research, and innovation.

With a strong focus on student-centric learning and practical exposure, the institute has consistently contributed to developing skilled engineers and technology leaders. Spread across a 46-acre green and well-maintained campus, SGGSIE&T provides a robust academic and research ecosystem.

The institute is fully supported through grant-in-aid from the Government of Maharashtra, reinforcing its commitment to accessible, high-quality education and technological advancement.

Board of Directors

Mr. Abhay Deshpande (Founder & CEO, Recykal, Serial Entrepreneur)

Serial entrepreneur and the Founder of Recykal, a leading digital platform enabling circular economy solutions in India’s waste management sector. He has also founded and scaled pioneering SaaS ventures such as Martjack, and brings deep expertise in technology-driven innovation and sustainable enterprise leadership.

Mr. Vikas Rathod (Founder, Zeal Manufacturing, Industry Practitioner)

First-generation technopreneur and Founder of Zeal Manufacturing with nearly three decades in electronics test and calibration equipment. He developed the Multi-Function Calibrator, reducing lab setup costs from ₹50 Lakhs to ₹5 Lakhs and enabling 500+ entrepreneurs to start calibration businesses. His innovation promoted Make in India manufacturing, generated large-scale employment, and strengthened uniform electrical measurement practices across India.

Mr. Dilip Chhatre (Ex-Project Manager, IBM, Industry Leader)

Experienced Complex Project Manager at IBM Technology Services with over 17 years of expertise in IT infrastructure operations, data center management, and large-scale cross-brand project execution. He brings strong leadership in enterprise technology strategy, client relationship management, and business continuity initiatives.

Dr. Manesh Kokare (Director, SGGSIE&T, Academic Leadership)

Director of Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nanded, and a renowned academic leader with expertise in image processing and computer vision. A Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur and BOYSCAST Fellow at UCSB, he has published 97+ research papers and guided numerous scholars.

Dr. Milind Bhalerao (Dean, SGGSIE&T, Academic & Student Innovation)

Associate Professor and Dean (Incubation, Innovation and Linkages) at SGGSIE&T, Nanded. With expertise in image processing and pattern recognition, he has published extensively, guided numerous postgraduate researchers, and contributed actively to academic leadership and institutional development.

Mr. Sunil Raithatha (Owner, Vinodrai Engineers, Senior Industry Professional)

Managing Director of Vinodrai Engineers Pvt. Ltd., with over three decades of experience in designing and manufacturing rotational moulding machines for global markets. A mechanical engineering professional, he brings strong expertise in product development, polymers, and industrial manufacturing leadership.

Mr. Ravindra Shanbhag (Ex. Asst. General Manager, ICICI Bank, Industry Leader)

Seasoned banking and technology professional with extensive experience in international banking IT, operations, and customer relationship management. He has held leadership roles across asset management and financial services, bringing strong expertise in global delivery and team management.

Dr. Yashwant Joshi (Former Professor, SGGSIE&T, Research Leader)

Accomplished academic leader and former Director of SGGSIE&T Nanded, with extensive experience in higher education governance and curriculum development. A Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, he specializes in digital filter design, research mentorship, and advancing institutional excellence through strategic leadership.

Mr. Ashish Garde (Director, MAGIC, Startup Ecosystem Enabler)

Founder, director, and ecosystem mentor with over three decades of experience in entrepreneurship, CSR, and innovation development. As Director of MAGIC Business Incubator, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening startup and MSME ecosystems across India’s tier 2/3 cities.

Incubation Leadership

Mr. Yogesh Tawde (Head, SARVAH Incubation Foundation)

Startup ecosystem leader with 8+ years of experience at Forge Innovation & Ventures, IIT Hyderabad Technology Incubation Center (iTIC), and MAGIC. He has built corporate and government partnerships, strengthened industry–academia collaboration, and supported deep-tech startups in AI, IoT, and industrial innovation through ecosystem development, fundraising, and commercialization.
